I have resided at Dakota Pointe since 2019. The apartment complex was under different ownership and I LOVED them! When the current owners bought the complex it changed managers Several times and the cleanliness and lawn appearance went WAY down hill. There is a new manager once again! However, since she came in a few weeks ago I see improvements already! The hallways and elevators are getting cleaned ore frequently. Snow removal is being done the same day it snows. Maintenance worked very hard to clean the sidewalks and remove the compacted snow and ice that was left behind when the plow did not get down to the sidewalk over the weekend. I can't wait to see how they will make the landscape nice once again! I am excited to see a manager that cares about the facility! I was planning to move when my lease is up, but I am now planning to stay as long as things continue on this positive path. Thanks Tracy!

I have been a tenant at Dakota Pointe for over 10 years. I find the apartments very comfortable, safe and well maintained. The Management Team is very friendly, helpful and handles issues in a timely manner. They are also very good at communicating to the tenants when needed. The Maintenance Team is also very good and has always handled maintenance issues in a prompt manner. The location is also excellent being next to Costco as well as many restaurants, taverns and shopping. I highly recommend Dakota Pointe Apartments.

We’ve lived at Dakota Pointe for about 6 months now and we really love it here. The community is friendly, the management is on top of things, and the amenities are great. The maintenance staff is very fast and efficient. We love having a pool, gym, and community room onsite. We also appreciate having in-unit laundry! The walls are very sound-proof and we don’t have any issues with loud neighbors. There are some additional fees that can add up when it comes to paying rent, but they are disclosed.

Looking for a place to call home can be confusing & exhausting unless your first stop is Dakota Pointe Apartments! Roomy units, laundry facilities in each apartment & a quiet, but convenient location made this an easy decision for me. The pool is a plus, along with an exercise room, a community room & guest suite. The staff is friendly & helpful. I feel right at home at Dakota Pointe!

If you are looking for a place to live, I highly recommend Dakota Pointe Apartments. The location is great, is close to the mall, multiple places to eat, and you are right next to Costco. They also have underground and garage parking available which is super convenient for the winter time. The amenities make up for the pricing along with the internet being included, with 500mbs internet speed. The management team is amazing and are always welcoming and whiling to help. They answer promptly and as soon as they are able to. They have great costumer service skills and are always inviting. They started doing resident events recently and they have been a blast. It is fun to talk and hang out with the managers and other residents. The bingo is the most fun event! The maintenance team is outstanding, they do a great job with service request and are also always willing to help out. They are super friendly and easy to talk to. They always have a smile on their face and take care of issues as soon as they can. I again, highly recommend this place.

I have been living here since May. I will admit that the price of living here is quite a bit but it does have lots of amenities like the pool, gym, theater, and clubhouse. The staff here are super accommodating and welcoming. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The maintenance guys are so helpful and always helping out. I love the in unit washer and dryer and the layout of the apartments are great! People in the community here are so nice and we have activities we can go to together which is amazing. The managers are quick to respond and very helpful. Overall a great place to live, especially if you have pets.

The maintenance staff at Dakota Pointe, Duane and Derek, are AMAZING and deserve a 5 star review. They are courteous, professional, talented, and committed to keeping my apartment and Dakota Pointe functioning smoothly. While the work they do is great, their personality is even better. I understand that they are extremely busy in such a large complex, but each time I see them they are always asking how things are going in the apartment and in my life in general. They know me by name, not just my apartment number. Perhaps one of the most important decisions in deciding on which apartment to live in is the availability of maintenance staff and management. I have heard horror stories from friends that something would happen in their apartment but nothing would be done for days or even weeks, and the quality of the work would be subpar. With the team of Duane and Derek, maintenance issues are something I never need to worry about. Thank you both a great deal for always being there and the seemingly lone constant of my time at Dakota Pointe the last 4.5 years.

We have been here for about 10 months and love our apartment. The building is nice and every day I get my hallway-walking in, no matter the weather. I think the best thing about these apartments is the maintenance team, Derek and Duane. My husband and I refer to them as "The D Team." Whenever I see them, which is often (I walk the halls, remember?) they are always busy working. Any time we have had a maintenance request, they are always quick to fix things for us (there have only been a few issues; a loose screw in the dryer, for example- which was nothing major). "The D Team" are friendly and helpful and, in my opinion, one of the best things about living here. They make me feel welcome and valued as a tenant.

Before the current landlord everything was just fine, apartment maintenance was on point, there were never any hidden fees, nor any obligated "amenity services", now looking at my statement for July, it now shows we are getting charged for water, sewer, gas and also an administrative fee and also a Real Estate Tax Allocation, which i asked the leasing agent what it is and he could not give me any explanation. The lady manager is very nice and so are the maintenance guys, but the company that bought out these units are totally ruining what this apartment building used to be adding more and more fees every single month. Prior to them taking over, my rent used to be $780 now is over 1100, 1,119.03 to be exact. That includes a $50 monthly fee for my pet and a whooping $100 monthly for a detached garage. We are seeing lots of tenants moving out in a weekly basis. OH and check this out, if you want internet it has to be billed through your rental lease which for 100mbps they will charge you $80 per month, and Midco will send you a separate bill if you want a higher speed. I am paying another $20 dollars extra for 500mbps. So my internet bill went from $61 a month to $100 per month. The only reason i am staying here is because i am just 4 blocks away from my work. Update: Maintenance is doing a better job, hallways are getting cleaned more often than not, air filters haven’t been replaced yet(we did it ourselves). Somehow they must be getting more attention because they same amount of tenants we see moving out we are seeing new ones moving in. A much younger crowd. Lets see now that we have our first snow fall on 11/15 how long it takes them to clean it up….

I took my issues to her when she was managing another complex owned by the same company! I recently learned she is now she is the current manager of the complex! She addressed my issues in a timely and professional manner! I'm very satisfied and happy all of these issues were handled in a professional and timely manner! Great job Katelyn! We've loved it here. Great location, really nice units and amenities! I can't wait to move into a two bedroom here! The switch in management has been rough, but those that stuck around are so great, friendly and super helpful. And I know they are all doing their absolute best each and every day. The location is great , the building is great. Love my apartment and all the accommodations. Now under new management we don’t get any updates or news letters, I hope they can bring that back I would like to see a secure package room , where are packages are not scattered in front of the mail boxes. Make it fun by having door prizes, contest. The only thing I really wish for is a indoor dog park for when it get to hot or cold outside.

I love this apartment I have lived here for a year now and just signed another 18 month lease, the maintenance staff is so good about making and keeping appointments, and I love all of the amenities here at Dakota pointe, such a nice place to live not to mention all of the friendly people.

Edited 11/15/22: Have been staying at Dakota Pointe Apartments since 2019. Recent change in management has seen some changes that haven't been for the best. More nickle and diming, more increases in prices, less responsive to maintaining the grounds. However, still a great place to stay, prices are still decent, and I love the option to have underground parking.

They keep the parking lot clean, and have a wonderful underground parking area. It has awesome amenities like a pool, exercise room and large common area for gatherings. They have also keep strict guidelines due to the Covid 19 Pandemic so I feel safe living here. I can not recommend this place enough if you need a place to live here in Sioux Falls!

First off, this is a good place to live. The units are very comfortable. There's a very nice pool and hot tub, as well as a very nice community room/patio. The only thing I will say that I dislike is that many of the residents don't seem to respect the premises. Very often I find garbage that people will leave in the hallway, including random furniture that they don't want. This of course doesn't reflect the apartment management here. One thing I find odd is that all of the doors to each apartment unit have a big gap between the the bottom of the door and the floor. It's probably a good inch or so. If you get down on the floor you can easily see out.

This location is quiet and safe while still being close to necessities on 41st Street. I've been really impressed by how well-kept the grounds are—you can expect prompt snow removal in the winter and beautiful trees and shrubs the rest of the year. This is also the cleanest apartment I've had yet. Not only is the management responsive and personable, but they go to extra effort to foster community by holding fun seasonal events and hosting food trucks weekly throughout the summer.

Dakota Pointe has its flaws just like any other place, there is some noise but it’s an apartment and you can’t please everyone all the time. I will say its been really nice considering how beautiful the apartment is, our very thoughtfull welcome gift at move in last year and all the awesome amenities. My friend and I moved in and the apartment was a great size for us, plus we love the price with included utilities, the washer/dryer, microwave and dishwasher. We do wish there was a garbage disposal though. We love to go down to the pool as it’s open early/late and is always clean with a working hot tub, the theater room is so fun to have friends over and enjoy with the popcorn. The guest suite for them to stay in is also a pretty sweet perk. The girls in the office, Jen and Kim are hilarious, really nice and very helpful, plus they're always there and super easy to get ahold of. The maintenance guy, Duane, is really cool and things have always been fixed in a timely manner (normally same day or next day). I know not everyone has the same experiences but I have a great one here. Also there are times when I get home pretty late and have never had a single problem with parking or anything of the sort. I also don’t have any real problems with my neighbors, in fact it seems like alot of them know each other and there are alot of people that have lived here for many years and that is very comforting to me. Well I hope that anyone who decides to live here has as good of an experience as I do. I love my home!
